Our Bedroom Accommodation

In 2007 The Ship Inn was proudly awarded the prestigious hotel rated 3 Stars given by the English Tourism Council. This award is given to accommodation providers who reach and maintain the required standards and continue to participate in the Quality Assurance Scheme.

Each one of our four guestrooms are situated away from the main bar areas in a quiet part of the building. All are no smoking rooms, fully centrally heated and each maintained to a very high standard of décor offering fully fitted quality carpets and tasteful furnishings.

All rooms are en suite with hospitality tray, bedside radio & alarm, colour television (inclusive of DVD and CD players) and hair drying facilities. On arrival and having been welcomed into their room, guests are provided with their own room key and enter and leave the inn via their own resident’s door, which is accessible 24 hours per day.

We proudly display our visitor’s book, which contains many complimentary comments from satisfied guests. Many of our guests return to the Ship Inn to enjoy the unique atmosphere combined with the tranquillity of island life.

Each bedroom has its own unique style and can be summarised as follows:

Room One: Our popular 4-poster bedroom that overlooks the quiet area of Marygate. This bedroom is front facing towards the sea. Centrally heated, the room has a shower and toilet en- suite. Its’ unique charm has always proved popular with our guests.

Room Two: A large bedroom fitted with a double bed with additional single bed this offers a number of perfect combinations, either as a double, a twin room, or for families where three person occupancy is needed.

Room Three: Similar in style to room two, the uniqueness is the large en-suite facility has a bath with as well as a shower. This room again can offer our guests a similar flexible facility as room two.

Room Four: Our latest room introduced for 2008, this room is beautifully decorated in a more contemporary style. Offered as a double room only, it is complimented with a spacious en-suite shower and toilet. For those wishing to retire early the room has a new flat screen HD Digital LCD television combined with DVD and CD player.

Room Tariffs (Costs per Rooms/Per Night):

The room tariffs quoted are per room per night and include full English breakfast. (Prices are applicable until 23rd December 2008.)

Room Prices for 2008:

Single £72.00 (one night only) - 2 nights or more  £62.00 per night

Double £94.00 (one night only) - 2 nights or more  £84.00 per night

Twin £94.00 (one night only) - 2 nights or more £84.00 per night

Triple £112.00 (one night only) - 2 nights or more  £102.00 per night

As stated earlier the room tariff includes a choice of full English breakfast where guests can start the day with orange juice, toast and tea/coffee, followed by grapefruit, or cereal, then one of six variations of cooked breakfast. Our full Ship’s breakfast is a favourite with our guests and can set you up for the rest of the day. Speciality herbal/fruit teas and de-caffeinated coffee is available on request.
