Rooms at The Ship Inn - Holy Island of Lindisfarne
As stated previously in the general intro, The Ship Inn is proud of being awarded a 3 star hotel rating from the English Tourist Council which was in addition to the prestigious 4 Diamond Award for guest accommodation. This award is given to accommodation providers who reach and maintain the required standards and continue to participate in the Quality Assurance Scheme.
Each one of our four guestrooms are situated away from the main bar areas in a quiet part of the building. All are no smoking, fully centrally heated and each maintained to a very high standard of décor offering fully fitted quality carpets and tasteful furnishings.
All rooms are en suite with hospitality tray, bedside radio & alarm, LCD digital flat screen colour television, DVD player, plus hair dryers in all rooms. For those who need access to the web or to receive emails Wi-Fi with no charge is now available in all rooms.
On arrival and having been welcomed into their room, guests are provided with their own room key and enter and leave the inn via their own resident’s door, which is accessible 24 hours per day.
We proudly display our visitor’s book, which contains many complimentary comments from satisfied guests either local, UK residents plus many worldwide. Many of our guests return each year to the Ship Inn to enjoy the unique atmosphere combined with the tranquillity of island life.

Room One: Our traditional four poster bedroom decorated in a traditional style overlooks the quiet street of Marygate. This room has an en-suite facility with shower.
Room Two: A large bedroom fitted with a double bed with additional single bed. This room can also be a twin or family room and has a luxury shower en-suite facility.
Room Three: Our most luxury “King sized” bedroom redesigned at the end of 2009 with luxury bathroom complete with all new decor and furnishings.
Room Four: This was our latest room addition introduced in 2008; beautifully decorated in a contemporary style and fitted with a large en-suite shower room.

If you are celebrating a special birthday, wedding anniversary, a romantic weekend, or just want to be pampered then please enquire about our “Champagne Room Welcome”.
This doesn’t have to be expensive starting from a reasonable priced bottle of Cava working through our mid range selection of sparkling wines and finally ending with a Moét et Chandon champagne.
As you enter your room your personalised choice awaits held on ice with two fluted glasses and personalised greeting to your loved one. In addition a bouquet of flowers can also be arranged.

The room tariff includes a choice of full English breakfast where guests can start the day with orange juice, toast with either breakfast/herbal teas or freshly ground coffee. This can be followed by grapefruit and a choice of cereal with a personal choice of one of six variations of cooked breakfast, including our local grilled kippers. Whatever you choose our popular Ship’s breakfast should set you up for the rest of the day.
For all residents if you wish to enjoy a drink in your room you will be most welcome to do so.
